HB 1077 -  provide for the creation of a cardiac emergency plan in every school and to make an appropriation therefor. DIED IN APPROPRIATIONS

HB 1138 - require the licensure of non-medical home care agencies, and to provide a penalty therefor. VETO

HB 1238 - protect financial institutions taking action to prevent the financial exploitation of consenting, senior, or vulnerable adults. PASSED

HB 1292 - limit the ability of a health carrier to recoup, recover, or retroactively deny previously paid claims. PASSED

SB 87 - clarify and establish requirements related to forensic medical examinations. PASSED

SB 117 - make an appropriation for the design and construction of a new soccer venue at South Dakota State University and to declare an emergency. PASSED

SC 813 - celebrating Solventum's expansion of its Brookings, South Dakota, manufacturing facility.

HB 1225 - update the state laws around price transparency removing redundant requirements PASSED

SB 111 - Ensuring our laws protect the child and non-offending parent from further abuse PASSED

HC 8007 -  A commemoration celebrating Brookings Local Jordan Jensen as Miss. Rodeo South Dakota 2025 

HC 8014 - A commemoration celebrating the long and successful career of Pete Bolzer, Brookings native and Brookings Fire Chief of over 25 years. 

HB1016- conduct a feasibility study on the Medicaid program of all-inclusive care for the elderly (PACE) and make an appropriation therefor. We received a letter of intent from the department committing to complete this study. 

HB 1081 - establish provisions related to the reimbursement of doula services through the state Medicaid program. I received a commitment that the department was going to  add doula services to be covered by Medicaid.  

HB 1144 - provide for the study of the Community, Hope, Opportunity, Independence, Careers, Empowerment, Success waiver program and to provide an appropriation therefor. I received a commitment from the Department that they will complete this study. 

SB 80 - improve technology equipment for providers of elderly care and to make an appropriation therefor. This bill utilized General Fund Dollars

SB 146 - revise and repeal provisions related to threatening persons holding statewide office, judicial officers, and elected officers and to provide a penalty therefor.

SB 209 - make an appropriation for grants to assisted living centers and nursing facilities for costs related to telemedicine. This bill utilized ARPA funds.

HB 1231 - revise certain provisions related to the sealing of adoption records.
